Yes, it appears Durex did make knitting needles.
Made of casein, a plastic made of milk protein which predates modern plastics.
I've been told these are very warm and comfortable to knit with.
Probably from the 1950s.
They are gauge 9 which is 3.75mm wide and I have 2 different sizes
 10" long or 12" long
